• This study's primary purpose is to understand the experience of patients who undergo surgical interventions with anesthesia. We explore various factors which can affect this experience, and compare the effects of different analgesics administered before anesthesia.
• The other purpose of this study is to understand predictors of drug use, pain and recovery after surgery at Norwegian hospitals.
