Data security

Questionnaire data is collected via Nettskjema, which is a surveying tool developed by Oslo University. Nettskjema has a high security level and is accredited by REK (Regional Committees for Medical and Health Research Ethics) and SIKT (Privacy policies, previously NSD) to collect confidential data.

All data, from personal information to answers, are collected anonymously and transferred to a server for secure data storage (TSD) for storage and analysis. Oslo University runs TSD, which is a secure service that meets the requirements for safe management and storage of sensitive data for research. The researchers analyzing the data will only ever have access to the data files with ID numbers and answers; no names or personal information can be traced back to individual persons.
